There are 66 in the graduating class.<br />-Non-denominational Christian school. (Note: On the Protestant end of Christianity, not the Catholic)<br />-Students are required to attend a 50-minute long chapel every Wednesday.<br />-Teachers are required to shake their students' hands before they enter the classroom.<br />-Every morning the school not only pledges allegiance to the American flag, but also to the Christian flag and the Bible. The principal also leads everyone in morning prayer.<br />-Teachers usually begin class with prayer.<br />-There are literally Bible verses painted on the walls in the hallways.<br />-Students can get suspended or expelled for: getting tattoos/facial piercings, having sex/getting pregnant, drinking, smoking (even if the student &gt; 17), doing drugs, and/or inappropriate content on a student's personal web page.<br />-At least once a year there is an argument as to whether or not a person can be both a Christian and a Democrat (in all seriousness -- people have said they are mutually exclusive)<br />-Contains disproportionally white student and administrative bodies. (<b>92%</b> of the senior class is white / <b>90%</b> of the administrative body (including janitorial staff) is white)<br />-Contains teachers who are not only less than timid about their political views, but also are encouraged by the administration to share them in the classroom<br /><br /><br />This being said, I do genuinely enjoy being at my school -- but that doesn’t mean that I can’t make fun of it. And that's what this journal will be about.
